Mufti all set to lead a new team of ministers

Jammu, Feb 23 : If everything goes as per the written script, PDP Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is all set to lead all new team of council of ministers in his second innings as Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. According to highly placed sources along with Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Deputy Chief Minister from the BJP, at least one dozen of council of ministers are expected to take oath of office. The final date of oath taking ceremony is expected to be announced in a day or two after BJP-PDP leadership formally seal the deal. The Common Minimum programme is also expected to be made public after evolving a broad consensus over sticky issues. According to reports even preliminary discussions on the names of probable ministers was also carried out by the alliance partners. As per these reports a close aide of Mufti, Abdul Rehamn Veeri, Naeem Akhtar, Altaf Bukhari, Dr Haseeb Drabu, Zulfikar Choudhary, Abdul Haq are emerging front runners from the PDP camp who can become ministers in the first round. Similarly BJP team would be led by deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, Bali Bhagat, Ch Lal Singh, Sham Choudhary, AG Kohli and Kavinder Gupta. The left over vacancies in the council of ministers would be filled after some time by the Chief Minister, sources claimed. In addition to this several other senior legislators were keenly wooing the party high command of their parties to secure their berth in the council of ministers at least in the second round of expansion.
According to reports the names were shortlisted on the basis of seniority, representation to all three regions of the state and administrative experience.
