Jammu, Feb 23: To safe guard the properties of Sri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Gandhi Nagar, committee under of Sri Lakshmi Narayan Samaj Sevak and People Welfare Samiti (SLNSSPWS) formed here on Monday. According to press release, S P Sapolia and DK Sharma were elected as conveners to spearhead the agitation to hold fresh elections to the executive body of the Temple and bring back to lost glory and fame of the temple.
The Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, is one of the oldest temple of Jammu as per the historic records, J&K Government had provided a piece of land consisting of 12 Kanals and 3 Marias of land in Posh Gandhi Nagar area about 55 years back to construct- a temple over it and carryout religious activities, as per their faith. SLNPWS represented through their conveners, strongly protest the indifferent and stubborn attitude of the present Executive body of the temple.
