CEO conducts surprise visit to curb unauthorized 'absenteeism'

Rajouri, Mar 2: In order to ensure the regularities, punctuality and improvement in academic side , Chief Education Officer (CEO)Rajouri, HA Fani today paid surprise visits to some education zones and found many teachers/masters on an unauthorized absent.
In many school CEO found very poor enrollment in the primary sections and has issued on spot directions to the institution heads/staff to increase the enrollment. He also issued directions to the concerned Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) to issue notice to those teachers appointed on Academic arrangements and were found absent from the schools.Sources in education department said the Chief Education Officer , HA Fani today visited many schools in Lower Hathal,Sunderbani, Dandesar, Dungi and Baljaralaln eduction Zones .In Lower Hathal education Zone during surprise visit to high school at Balsama, CEO found on unauthorized absence teachers namely Promila Devi (PET), Preeti Mahajan and Rajesh Kumar both teachers. In Sunderbani Education Zone, ZEO found Girls Middle School at Bhakar functioning normally but teachers Satish Kumar, Satinder Singh both masters, Kuldeep Raj , Bandana Gupta both masters, Gurdev Singh, Meenakshi Sharam teachers were on unauthorized absence .At Boys High school at Siot teachers namely Surinder Pal and Chanan Devi were found on unauthorized absence while Girls High School was functioning normally but the students' strength was very poor and CEO directed the school head/staff to increase the enrollment upto 150. During his visit at Dandesar Education Zone Higher Secondary School (HSS) at Lamberi, CEO directed to raise the enrollment. CEO also found one Champa Devi absent at Primary school at Mokharyala unauthorized manner while only 10 students were found enrolled in the school, Suman Bal Master was found on unauthorized absence at High School (HS) Chak Jaralan. In a surprise visit to Middle School at Pind Narrian, CEO found two teachers on long absence from school who are engaged on Academic Arrangement and directed the ZEO, Dandesar to issue notice to both the teachers to remain present in the school on all working days , otherwise they may be disengaged under rule. In Doongi Education Zone, CEO during his visit at 1.35 pm found teacher Nirmal Kumari was shown on examination duty at high school at Sangpur while the scheduled paper was postponed with prior information to the concerned. CEO also found four teachers namely Shoba Sharma, Virta Kumari, Sonika Vaid and Poonam Sharma on unauthorized absent while paid surprise visit to Middle School at Chetyar.
CEO found that school in-charge Shoba Sharma absent from duties since January 27 and Virta Kumari 2nd in-charge head had marked her (Shoba's) leave on February 27 and 28 only. HA Fani, CEO while taking the matter of unauthorized absents very seriously has issued instructions to concerned ZEOs and Headmasters to chargesheet masters/teachers/class-IV employees in question and seek their explanation.
