42nd Bn SSB organizes free medical, veterinary camp | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 20: in a bid to extend modern healthcare facilities to those who are deprived from it, the 42nd Bn Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) organized a free medical and veterinary camp under civic action (MCA/YCA) programme to bring the better facilities to the door steps of people living in remote areas. Kishori Lal Assistant Commandant SSB said that programme was held under the Command of Sham Kapoor Commandant Bhoonbari, Batote of Ramban (J&K) on Thursday. He said, "The event was held at Bhoonbari, Batote Ramban (J&K) with lot of fan fare in which locals participated overwhelmingly and also lauded the goodwill gesture of SSB Bn in their area. "The locals especially the ladies appreciated Sham Kapoor, Commandant SSB for playing a constructive role and taking an extra step to make ladies self reliant and economically independent by introducing various vocational trainings viz stitching/embroidery and basic computer training, he added. During the event about 500 patients were examined by the Doctors of 42nd Bn and free medicines were distributed among the patients. Meanwhile the veterinary doctors examined livestock of locals. A team of Dr Y J K. Singh, MKS Munda, Anuj Kumar, Lalit Kumar rendered their missionary service during this camp. Local Sarpanch in the end thanked to Commandant for his initiatives. |
