Kulha gutted in clash, seven injured over 'land dispute' | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Mar.27: A temporary house (Kulha) was allegedly set ablaze when a group of particular community which clashed with other community over a land dispute resulting in injuries to seven persons from the two sides while police acting swiftly put the situation under control and registered counter FIRs against the two confronting sides. According to reports one temporary hutment of one Sultan Ahmad R/o Thakar Nalla, Dhani Bakhta, Rajbagh Police station jurisdiction today was allegedly set ablaze when few persons of particular community attacked on Sultan and his family resulting injuries to seven persons who later were hospitalized. "There was a land dispute between Sultan Ahmad and few person of other community from same village and today the things turned ugly when both sides clashed over the 'evacuation of land issue. "When the heated argument took ugly shape none knows but during the melee unidentified set the hutment on ablaze, sources said. While interacting to media, Sultan Ahmad and his wife sought investigation against some local Police men who allegedly have glove in hand with the local villagers. They claimed to have documents of the land which are dated back before 1971. The concerned Tehsildhar, Vinay Kohsla, on hearing the information rushed to spot and ensured to review and verify the documents of the land in dispute. Naseer Ahmed, Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl SP) Kathua when contacted briefly said soon after getting information of clash the police acting swiftly rushed to spot and timely intervention of police brought the things under control. Senior Police official said that counter FIRs viz. FIR no 52/2015 and FIR no 53/2015 have been lodged against two confrinting parties while due instructions have been passed to concerned SHO to investigate the matter. |
