8 Education Deptt employees placed under suspension for unauthorized absence

Rajouri, May 2: A team of officials deputed following instructions from Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, under the supervision of AH Fani, Chief Education Officer CEO) Rajouri has placed under suspension eight employees of Zonal Education Officer's (ZEO) at Kotranka for unauthorized absence during a surprise visit.
Among those who have placed under suspension included Shabir Hussain, Senior Assistant ; Abdul Gafoor,Mohd Sadiq, Mohd Amin ,Ishri Singh (all Class IV) ; Mohd Iqbal, Physical Education Teacher (PET) and Saleem Ullha (sweeper) at ZEO Kotranka. Meanwhile CEO, Rajouri has also suspended Paramjot Kour, teacher who was also found absent in unauthorized manner from Primary School at Chatroon during duty hours.
Pertinent On the directions from the State Government, Deepati Uppal , Deputy commissioner (DC) Rajouri Deepati Uppal has constituted a team of the officials to check punctuality and to improve work culture in the government offices.
The team of officials led by CEO Rajouri during its surprise visits to various government offices at Kotranka found only 13 employees on duty during working hours at about 1 pm and at ZEO's office only two masters were found on duty at about 12.50 pm while all other staff members were on unauthorized absence. After going through team's report, Deepati Uppal, DC Rajouri had directed all the concerned Controlling Officers to take necessary disciplinary action under rules against the erring officials within 2 days otherwise action will also be initiated against those Controlling Officers who failed to comply the order. Pertinently Chief Education Officer (CEO) has also sought explanation from Zonal Education Officer (ZEO)Kotranka in this regard. Meantime one guard namely Jamal Din was present in the office when inspection team visited the office of BDO at 12.40 pm on May 30 while the team members found Tehsil Supply office locked. Similarly no staff member was present at Sheep Husbandry office and at Tehsil Social Welfare office while only two Masters were present in the office of Zonal Education Officer's (ZEOs) office and only one clerk was present in the office of tehsil Agriculture Office.
Inspection team found a peon and a Girdawar present in the Tehsil Revenue office, two linemen at Office of Power Development while except Liyakat Ali peon no staff member was present at tehsil Animal Husbandry Office at 1 pm. In the office of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) only one master namely Abdul Salam was on duty while Nassar Ahmed forester and a peon were present during working hours in the office of Range Forest Office. In the PWD office team members found Mohd Rafiq peon on duty while all other employees were found on unauthorized absent.
