BOPEE issues roll number slip to Cow after due verification | It happens only in JK | | Bivek Mathur
Early Times Report Jammu, May 2: Making mockery of the system, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) has issued a roll number slip to a 'cow' after due verification of all the documents. The image of the cow named 'Kachir Gaw' has been shared by the official spokesperson of the National Conference, Junaid Azim Matoo, who while sharing details with Early Times said that the image of the cow has appeared on the admit card of Diploma in Polytechnic Entrance Test-2015 and has gone viral and some national agencies as well as news reporting channels have reported news stories about the irresponsible nature of the officials of the J&K BOPEE. The photo of the cow has been captured on 23-03-2015 as seen in the image shared by Junaid Azim Matoo. Further, there are the images of tail and hoofs as identification marks of the cow on the website of the BOPEE. Matoo said that BOPEE has admitted the mistake and has deleted the image from its official website. As visible in the image, the name of the cow is "Kachir Gaw", daughter of-Gura Dand, roll number 257394, application number 4BOP1505048, Date of Birth-1st of January, 1997 for appearing in the Examination Center SC84-Room number 5-Commerce Block, Government Degree College Bemina, and Srinagar on May, 10, 2015. The irony is that the Controller of the Examination has signed on the admit card issued to the cow which is a required for verification of the documents. Professor Farooq Ahmed Mir, Controller of Examination, when contacted by Early Times said, "it is a technical mistake and his signature appeared on the admit card by default and hence he has no role in the case but the person responsible for this will be punished and responsibility be fixed on him/her for the same". |
