Two burglars held, stolen items worth Rs 3 lakh recovered

rajouri, May 2: Rajouri police claimed to have solved cases of burglaries with the arrest two thieves and recovered large quantity of stolen articles worth Rs 3 lakhs which includes LPG cylinders also.
The accused have been identified namely as Abdul b Hamid s/o Mohd Yunis and Mohd Arshad s/o Faqar Din (both hailing from Nagrota).
While briefing the media persons here today, Inspector Yashpal, SHO Police Station Rajouri said that items worth Rs 3 lakhs have been recovered from the procession of these thieves following their sustain interrogation.
"After some specific inputs, a police team led by Sub Inspector Jahangir , in-charge Rajouri Police Post under the supervision of concerned SHO conducted raid at the house of one Mohd Arshad s/o Faqar Din r/o Nagrota and recovered the consignment of stolen items including 20 LPG domestic cylinders, SHO Rajouri said and added on his disclosures another accused identified as Abdul b Hamid too held.
He said that other items recovered from their possession included 2- Petro max cylinders,4 Mobiles, 2- Bicycles, 2- large voltage Stabilizers, 3-small Stabilizers, 1- Amplifier,1- Speaker, 1-Tea Kattle, 1- Car Body cover,1- glass set, 1-set of pent-shirt, 2- Mobile Charge, 28 packets of cigarette (Capstan )and 4 packets of Bidi bundles. "More arrests and recoveries are expected in the near future after detailed interrogation of thieves and their possible associates" said SHO Rajouri.
Pertinent to mention that SSP Rajouri Dr Haseeb Mughal mobilized police and constituted teams to nab the culprits following series of complaints of theft .
Pertinently after the burglars struck at Balidan Bhavan and two religious places (Mosques) on April 30 and May 1 and Rajouri police was facing resentment of the people.
