Mohd Irfan Early Times Report Jammu, June 21: Kapil Sharma is still Joint Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation if the JMC's website is to be believed. Sharma was transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu in a reshuffle ordered by the Cabinet on May 29. His colleague Naresh Kumar, Secretary JMC, was transferred and was posted as Additional Secretary to Power Development Department. Both the transfers caused hue and cry as Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh had reportedly issued orders that the duo should not be relieved from their parent department JMC to new place of postings. Nearly one month after Sharma's transfer, the JMC is yet to update its official website (jmc.nic.in). Sharma, who was Joint Commissioner (admin) is showing on the website as Joint Commissioner (works). Ironically, JMC's Commissioner Soujanya Sharma told Early Times that Kapil Sharma is yet to be relieved by the corporation. "We have written from the Deputy CM not to relieve him. That is why we have not relieved Kapil," the commissioner said. About Naresh Kumar, the commissioner said, "Naresh is not relieved by us and he is still posted as Secretary JMC not as Additional Secretary to the PDD. I have not seen the website for last three days, but by tomorrow I will get it updated." Kapil Sharma, on the other hand, said, "I have to comply with the orders of GAD. I am not Joint Commissioner JMC."
