Jammu, July 30: Wrestling Federation of India has appointed president of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma as associate vice president of the national body.
Former Member of State Sports Council and presently joint secretary of the Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, Shiv Kumar has emerged as the key person in taking the indigenous game of wrestling to new heights in Jammu and Kashmir.
Through his tireless efforts, Shiv Kumar was instrumental in successful conduct of Mission-Dosti International Wrestling Championship at his home town of Katra from 2005 to 2014 inviting wrestlers from countries like Pakistan, England, Belarus and Ukrine.
Meanwhile, on receiving the communication from the national body, Shiv Kumar expressed his thanks for acknowledging his services for the promotion of wrestling. |
