As nation mourns Kalam's demise, BJP celebrates | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 30: Facing anger of the people for backstabbing Jammu region, BJP leaders shamelessly indulged into celebrating controversial announcement of setting up of AIIMS for Jammu region that they have forget that nation was observing seven day mourning on the death of former President APJ Abdul Kalam. Interestingly there is no clear picture about setting up of AIIMS at Jammu region as far as tweet and statement of the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, JP Nadda, the desperate BJP leaders in Jammu indulged to bursting crackers, beating drums and dancing as AIIMS has been sanctioned for Jammu region. As soon as Union Health Minister tweeted about providing similar AIIMS facilities to Jammu and Kashmir province, BJP workers shamelessly indulged into bursting crackers and dancing on the streets without caring that former President was buried just a few hours back and nation was still observing mourning. Female BJP workers were in the fore-front to dancing and exchanging sweets to give a message that they have got AIIMS sanctioned for Jammu region. And most important of all there is no mention of setting up of separate AIIMS in Jammu region which is demand of the people of this region. Instead of addressing wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu region, statement of Union Health Minister has further created confusion on this issue. The official hand out issued by the Press Information Bureau reads as "The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, J P Nadda stated that the Health Ministry is setting up an AIIMS in Jammu and Kashmir and will provide similar facilities of AIIMS in both Jammu and Kashmir regions. The Union Health Minister, J P Nadda stated this after meeting a delegation from Jammu and Kashmir comprising State BJP President and Lok Sabha MP, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister of the State, Nirmal Singh, State Health Minister, Lal Singh and State BJP General Secretary, Narendra Singh, who met the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, here today. "The NDA government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to provide healthcare facilities for all regions. And we are committed to balanced regional growth when it comes to healthcare facilities," said Nadda". |
