GGF celebrates Int'l Day of Friendship

JAMMU, July 30: Gandhi Global Family (GGF) joined World communities in celebrating UN International Day of Friendship in Jammu with Lawrence Public School.
To create awareness on how friendship will resolve local, regional and global tensions, Gandhi Global Family organized a workshop with local school children of Jammu & Kashmir State. GGF Youth Coordinator (J&K) Manish Joshi headed this workshop and explained its importance to students.
He said that friendship between people, countries and cultures can inspire peace efforts and build bridges between communities.
Youth are the real peace bridges who can break regional to intentional barriers and can resolve outstanding issues between countries.
He further outlined the objective of Gandhi Global Family to spread friendship among communities through people to people contact.
S P Verma Vice President Gandhi Global Family telephonically expressed that "In this age of interdependent World, Friendship is the only way to get rid of insecurities, mistrusts, tensions, doubts and misdoubts."
