Jammu, Aug 23 : President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today appealed to Prime Minister to announce a developmental package for J&K State on the pattern of similar package for Bihar. According to press release, Shastri said, "The state has for more challenges and problems. To ameliorate the precarious budgetary position which the state is facing, the central government should be liberal enough to provide grants." While interacting with media persons, Shastri also highlighted the issue of daily wagers regularization who are 61000 in number and are running the vital essential services and whose dues are pending for the past several years. Shastri reminder the top leadership of BJP at the centre and the state that during the run up to parliamentary and state assembly elections of 2014 its promise of mitigating the suffering of Daily Wagers in addition to their regularization , but even after being part of government at state as well as centre for more than a year, the government is yet to fulfill its own promises. On this occasion, he urged Prime Minister to release DA in favor of both central and state government employees. Among others who also spoke on the occasion were Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S. Jamwal, Sunil Kochhar, Barkat Ram, Subash Sharma, Jai Pal Sharma, Sawarn Bhagat, Girdhari Lai, Sudesh Kumar, Bupinder Singh, Sham Lai, Sukhdev Singh, Surrinder Kumar, Tilak Raj, Darshan Lai, Vijay Kumar and others. |
