NC 'non-serious' about Indo-Pak talks: PDP
8/23/2015 11:56:55 PM
Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 23: Ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday hit out at the opposition National Conference for its "childish and non-serious" approach to serious issues like talks between India and Pakistan. "The reactions that have come in from the Opposition smack of immaturity and cynicism," PDP Chief spokesperson Mehboob Beg said, adding "talks have immense ramifications for the people of Jammu and Kashmir."
Beg stated that some "vested interests" and a well-known media channel had whipped-up a frenzy and created immense hysteria instead of serving as a medium which would create a conducive atmosphere for the talks to take place.
"War mongers as well as 'Kashmir and Pakistan bashers' have time and again indulged in creation of an atmosphere of hatred which does not help in any manner whatsoever," he said.
Beg said Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed led Government believes constant dialogue process till the desired results are achieved. "Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Sayeed have earlier proved that we could live in peace with Pakistan," he said.
