JK govt assures rehabilitation of landslide-hit

Jammu, Aug 23: Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh today met landslide-affected people in Kathua district and assured them that the government will rehabilitate them to safer areas. Singh, who led a team of senior officers, visited landslide-hit area in Morha-Chuhara village in Billawar town of Kathua today and interacted with affected people, an official spokesman said. As many as 40 houses and a government school building were damaged in the landslide at the village on the night of August 20.
