Machail Yatra crosses 1.50 lakhs, 37161 paid obeisance at Chandi temple in last 36 hours 8/24/2015 12:26:21 AM Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Kishtwar Aug 23: The heavy rush of pilgrims continued at Matta Chandi temple Machail as more than 1.50 lac pilgrims so far paid obeisance since the yatra began, with record 37161 pilgrims visit in last 36 hours. As per the official figure, 142930 pilgrims have so far paid the obeisance at Chandi temple till date while more than 20000 people are on way from Gulabgarh to Machail (32 KM track) and the total Yatra is expected to cross 1.50 lakh by today evening itself and by the end of the yatra the total number is expected to cross 2 lac. It will be 3rd consecutive time that yatra would cross 2 lac mark . Meanwhile the Chari Yatra of Matta Chandi which reached the Chandi Matta Temple at Machail yesterday, the Chari will start back journey towards Gulabgard tomorrow and will finally culminate at Bhaderwah. Many noted politicians and ministers also visited the temple in last few days. Minister of Health Chowdhary Lal Singh also today visited Machail temple along with his wife and friends to pay obeisance at the temple. The local people and volunteers at Machail temple complained of poor healthcare facility for the Yatries all along the Machail route and also slammed poor BSNL services . Reacting to the public outrage, Lal Singh announced opening of Health Sub Center at Machail and assured the people that better medical facilities will be provided to the people and pilgrims in future. It is pertinent to mention that Union Minister in PMO Dr. Jatindra Singh also announced BSNL VHF tower for Padder and Machail and degree college for Padder, but even after one year neither VHF tower nor degree college could see the light of the day resulting in vide spread anger among the local people .   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
