LEH, Aug 24 : The world renowned Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev and Pujya Acharya Bal Krishna hold special 'Yoga Shivir' at Shanti Stupa on Sunday. As part of International Festival of Buddhist Heritage of Ladakh (IFBHL), Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC), the main organizer of IFBHL organized the Yoga session which will continue for three consecutive days from Sunday. Large number of people including army, school children, teacher, parents and yoga lover attended the yoga session during which Yoga Guru gave some tips on Kapal Bharti, laughing therapy, Surya Namaskar etc. He claims that Ladakh possess number of highly enriched medicinal plants that can generate great income to the region and in this regards he had discussion with DRDO Leh. Terming Ladakh as heaven on Earth, Swami clarifies that he never mean to hurt the people of Ladakh by saying it that "if you don't do good deed you will be born in Ladakh" but he meant to say that Ladakhi people living a taught life surviving at minus 30 degrees which he heard from someone long time ago.
Pertinent to mention here that there Swami reportedly said once that "if you don't do good deeds you will be born in Ladakh" and Ladakhi people were hurt by the Swami statement and today he took back his words by saying that he never meant to hurt the people of Ladakh.
Responding to a query, Ramdev said that Ladakh is like heaven on earth having variety of natural herbs, enrich minerals and saint and sainik collectively have been protecting the border and heritage of Ladakh for centuries. |
