| Traffic police conducts surprise checking, several vehicles challaned | | |  Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Aug 24: In a special drive to check the menace of traffic violations, the traffic police conducted a surprise checking of documents of vehicles especially two wheelers here today at M H Chowk.
During the drive, which was held under the supervision of DySP T R Rana, several offenders found in violation of various traffic rules were challaned. The focus of the drive was on two wheeler riders as during the checking most of them were found not wearing crash helmets and were riding without registration papers.
While speaking to Early Times, Rana said the safe driving is for the benefit of the general public because the human life is so precious and it cannot be put on peril due to carelessness. He further said that the traffic department will conduct more such drives in future so that awareness can be spread further among the people. |
