Jammu, Aug 24: The protest demonstration of the Non-Teaching Employees Association (NTEA) of SKUAST- J entered day two in which the outstation members from Rajouri, Reasi, Poonch also joined the agitation.
Vijay Kumar, President, Non Gazetted Employees Association of Jammu University, and other leaders also attended the protest demonstration and assured full support to the genuine demands raised by the NTEA over the last one year.
Addressing the protesting employees, B N Singh, President of NTEA said that a few officers and officials of the University are misleading the Vice Chancellor by suppressing the facts and getting wrong orders executed with his consent.
He further said registrar along with Secretary to VC and few other officials have taken Vice Chancellor hostage which has led to a great unrest among the non teaching employees over their genuine long pending demands.
He said that this attitude of these few officials has been continuing for the last many years to implement illegal orders by twisting even the statutes and all previous Vice Chancellors face the repercussions after completing their tenure.
It was strongly conveyed to the administration that Registrar has failed to handle establishment of the University and the present unrest is mainly because of him. Moreover, the statutes, rules and regulations are manipulated by registrar as per his wishes to adjust to his requirements.

Others from NTEA SKUAST-J who spoke were Deepak Kumar (Organizing Secretary), Gursanjeevan Singh (Jt Secretary), Rattan Lal (Vice President), Bimal Singh (Secretary), Vijay Singh (Publicity Secretary) and Manzoor Ahmed Khan (Jt Treasurer).
