PHQ to punish those who take its orders lightly, says circular | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 15: A police headquarters (PHQ) circular, issued in the recent past, carries a warning for its personnel who do not take seriously the orders issued by it from time to time. It says that all the police personnel, including officers and lower ranks, would be punished in case they were found defying PHQ orders at any stage. The circular was issued following inputs that PHQ orders were not being taken seriously by the police personnel. Some officers were even found to be not complying with their transfer orders issued by the PHQ. Disciplinary action would be taken against all of them, police sources said. "It has been made clear in the circular that the officers would be relieved soon after their transfer orders were issued by PHQ," sources informed. In case, they were found disobeying the orders, strict action under law would be taken against them, sources said. Sources said PHQ had made it clear that indiscipline by police personnel at any level in any of the state police wings would not be allowed to continue anymore. PHQ was now getting strict to ensure that its orders were implemented in letter and spirit, the sources added. |
