Due to influence of power-brokers BJP, Cong agree not to highlight corruption of each other
12/23/2015 11:23:01 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 23: Ruling BJP and opposition Congress appeared to the reach at consensus not to highlight each other's corruption cases and misdeeds. Instead of exposing each other, leaders of both the parties, which are arch political rivals at national level, have maintained a silence over reports of corruption and nepotism.
While as Congress leaders are hesitating to highlight some allegations of corruption and misdeeds against BJP ministers during their 10 months performance, the BJP is also adopting delay tactics in accelerating investigation in corrupt cases registered against Congress ministers during their tenure from 2002 to 2014.
Credible sources in the corridors of the powers said that BJP ministers have given directions to the bureaucracy not to make speedy investigation in the corruption cases against Congress ministers. State Accountability Commission (SAC) and State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) have registered complaint against half a dozen Congress ministers but during the last 10 months BJP ministers have not taken any serious efforts to make investigation these cases.
Credible sources said that "some brokers and businessmen", under whose directions BJP ministers are working, have advised ministers not to take confrontations with former Congress ministers. These power brokers, who were earlier part of the kitchen cabinet of some former Congress ministers, have completely influenced the BJP ministers and convinced them not to dig past misdeeds of Congress ministers.
Credible sources said that BJP ministers, who have been deeply enjoying power these days, have also decided not to take any confrontation with former Congress ministers. Power brokers have asked BJP ministers to concentrate on their own welfare instead of taking confrontation with their political rivals.
Credible sources said one of the influential businessman of the city has played a dominant role in pursuing BJP ministers not to investigate corruption cases against former Congress ministers.
Similarly former Congress ministers have reportedly also given assurance to this middleman power-broker that they would not highlight corruption of BJP ministers provided they would not speed up corruption cases against them.
