Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 3: The Education Department of the state which suffered in the popular State Government and entered the Governor’s rule too with same illness has many anecdotes attached to its execution of duties which raised eyebrows time and again.
Its damaging affect has been reported in the district Rajouri in Lower Hatthal zone where in a middle school Barnara, a father of two sons studying in the school had wanted his wards to be shifted to some other school, but to no avail.
The reason being the high-headedness of the authorities at helm who dare to care two hoots for the judiciary and the fourth pillar also.
Ram Lal, the resident of Barnara approached the middle school Barnara after his two children passed in their classes fourth and fifth in the school and now wanted his children to some other institution for better education for the both.
"Though the government middle school is good institution, but since my children want to get acclimatized to the best education system available in the region , I wanted to transfer them to some good institution for which the headmaster has refused to do," said Ram Lal.
The headmaster Kamlesh Kumar when approached expressed his helplessness to relieve the students from the school saying that the ZEO Lower Hatthal had passed on strict instructions not reweve the students. The ZEO Lower Hatthal Bimla Devi came up with very obnoxious answer to this reporter when queried as to how she disallows the students to be relieved from the school.
"This is my discretion. I don't want the students to be relieved," she gave a very bland, but rough answer.
When told that media seeks an answer from the ZEO , she rudely retorted. " I damn care for media," she said .
The ZEO was even told that the aggrieved Ram Lal has decided to approach the court , if his children are held hostage in the school on the directive of the ZEO , which she cannot do.
"While I have said I damn care for media , I do not acknowledge even judiciary or the administrative higher ups. Do whatever you want to do ," said Bimla Devi .
This reporter has got the statement recorded of Bimla Devi in his phone and is open to any query.
Meanwhile Chief Education Officer Lower Hatthal Mohammad Iqbal when approached expressed his astonishment on the behavior of ZEO and said that no authority can keep anybody's children hostage in any school against the will of their parents .
He said , he will talk to the higher authorities to get the matter cleared .
Meanwhile , Ram Lal who had been frequenting the government middle school for past ten days to get his children relieved from the school has decided to move the court.
" If my children are not relieved by Monday , I will seek justice from the high court ," said Ram Lal.
