Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 22: A Sub-Inspector (SI), who is presently attached to the DPL here, has been making efforts for his posting as SHO of an 'important' police station here. Earlier also, he was SHO of a police station in Jammu, but was attached to DPL following allegations of his involvement in certain land disputes in the areas of his jurisdiction. Police sources said the SI was now making all out efforts to again get himself posted as SHO of a particular police station. "Though he has not spoken to any of the district police officers for his posting, he has been utilising the services of senior police officers, including a former IGP, Jammu, in this regard," the sources added. He was also said to have made an inventory of the choice police stations, but none of them was vacant. "He has also set his eyes on a police station whose SHO stands transferred to another police wing, but is yet to be relieved," sources said. Some ministers and MLAs were also said to have spoken to senior police officers for his posting as SHO of the police he wanted to head. |
