KAKRYAL, Sept 16 : Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) today organised an elocution competition at Sanjeevani Auditorium of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital (SMVDNHS), Kakryal. The topic of the contest was 'Ozone and Climate Change'. The event organised in collaboration with DPS Kakryal was part of the awareness programme which has been launched on directions of the Shrine Board on various environmental issues. Students from class 8th to 12th of DPS Kakryal participated in the elocution contest. They spoke about importance of preserving and restoring fragile yet vital Ozone Layer of Earth's Atmosphere which filters the harmful Ultra Violet (UV) rays and various measures to preserve it. Preeti Thakur stood 1st while Rhythm Sharma and Sucheta Dev stood 1st and 2nd runner up, respectively. Sanjay Sharma, Principal, DPS in his concluding remarks threw light on the high importance of the preservation of Ozone Layer. More than 150 students of DPS, Kakryal, teachers, staff, senior officers of the Shrine Board and Superspeciality Hospital were present on the occasion.
