Spell Bee competition held

kathua, Sept 17: The Pathways International School, Kathua held the Inter House Spelling Bee Competition here at the school campus. The competition took place in The Gautam Budh Auditorium and the atmosphere was 'buzzing'!
The hall was packed with pupils and educators cheering on the competitors, who were grouped according to their House, e.g. Pathways Daredevils, Pathways Worriers, Pathways Challengers and Pathways Titans .
All of the participants worked incredibly hard to prepare themselves for this spelling challenge and every competitor should be proud of this achievement.
24 pupils battled it out to become Spelling Bee Champion for their House, correctly spelling words such as 'inconceivable' and 'accommodation'.
After a number of nail biting rounds, we finally had our Spelling Bee winners and an overall victory for House, who won maximum house points, was The Pathways Warriors in Jr. category, where-in the Sr. Category there was a tie between Pathways Challengers & Pathways Daredevils
While speaking on the occasion Principal Kunal Anand said Spelling Bee competitions help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts and develop correct English usage.
He appreciated the efforts put in by the students and educators of the school, as this competition was first of its kind to be held, he congratulated the winner house.
Divi Suri, chairman The Pathways International School, Kathua said that he is highly impressed with such activities at school. He said that such activities are basically fun oriented learning and play a major role in holistic development of a child.
He further added that this is what makes Pathways International School different, where teaching is not just about chalks and boards but about overall learning and development of children potential.
The quiz master for the ceremony was Mrs. Monika Verma HOD English and the activity was coordinated by CCE coordinators Komal Singh. The vote of thanks was presented by Ms Rishu Sharma whereas Ms Shivali Jasrotia Sr. Coordinator and Shama administrators of the school were also present on the occasion.
