Early Times Report

Kishtwar, Sept 17: Even though the government has banned re-engaging former employees, a retired employee is working in Integrated Watershed Development Program (IWDP) Kishtwar.
As per the details available with "Early Times", a retired government employee who was retired about three year back as Section Officer from Agriculture Department was engaged in IWDP soon after his retirement and even though majority of the retired employees engaged by the government were disengaged following GAD Order No. 384 of 2015, the said retired employee of Agriculture Department is still calling shots in the office with the blessings of the ruling BJP party.
The sources informed the "Early Times" that the said employee who should be terminated is dictating the things to regular employees and had made their life hell, threatening them with action through his political masters. The sources further said that dispatched register for the year which carries the details of order issued from time to time by the department for the year 2013-14-15 had disappeared mysteriously and efforts are being made to retrieve the said dispatched register when last report came in. The sources said that the dispatch register also carries the number/date of order that includes termination of services of some illegally appointed persons beside also those of the orders of termination of services of the retired employees and the order No. of illegal appointments in the IWDP Kishtwar. The sources said that few illegal appointees were still holding key positions in the department added that due to non availability of the placement of regular officer in the department, the influential were ruling the roast.
Despite repeated attempts to reach out to the senior officials in government and the administration, no one was available for comment.
A senior officer in the administration when contacted assured that he will look into the issue and assured action in luau to the Government Order No. 384- GAD of 2015.
