Doda, Sept 17: Shameema Begum (72) W/o Abdul Rehman Thukar and mother of renowned sports Department Employee & JKCA official umpire Saleem-ur-Rehman Thukar passed away yesterday at her residence Bhaderwah in Doda District after prolonged illness. To mourn the sad demise of Shameema Begum, a condolence meeting was held at Doda by Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Doda. In the condolence meeting, all the YSCC members expressed their grief and sorrow on the demise of Shameema begum and termed her death as a great loss to the society and family members as well. They conveyed their condolences to Saleem-ur-Rehman Thukar and expressed their solidarity with the bereaved family in this hour of sorrow. Meanwhile, the YSCC members also condoled the sad demise of former DGP T R Kalra, father of Member JKCA, BCCI & JK Sports Council Ranjeet Kalra who passed away in last week. YSCC Doda described former DGP an able and thorough professional officer, who led the Jammu and Kashmir Police organization towards great success. During his entire service career, from 1962 to 1993, the late officer served the department in different important positions with honesty and dedication, and the force under his leadership achieved many significant achievements. Those who were present in the condolence meeting include Zaheer Abass Hashmi, Manzoor Ahmed Batt, Faizan Ali Tramboo, Naseer Ahmed Khora, Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev, Kassar Shenali, Waseem Raja, Moosa Azad and Rajid Wani. |
