Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 17 : Bar Association, Jammu, today, in an emergent meeting held under the chairmanship of its president Abhinav Sharma, took a serious note of the situation in Rajouri town. BAJ held the administration and police authorities responsible for the Rajouri situation. It alleged that the civil and police authorities had totally failed in anticipating the situation as similar incidents had taken place in Rajouri earlier also. BAJ called upon the majority community to protect the minority community, and to maintain peace and brotherhood. It also extended full support to the minority community and called upon the state government to protect the minorities. BAJ impressed upon the authorities concerned to take all possible measures to protect the life and property of innocent people from anti-social elements. It said any laxity on the part of administration would have the effect of spilling over of the situation to other parts of the state as well.(JNF)
