JAMMU, Feb 11: J&K Branch of the NIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, hosted a friendly cricket match between Chartered Accountants and Income Tax Department at JKCA Ground, Jammu which was intensely competed by both the teams & finally ended in a draw. Income Tax XI won the toss and elected to bat first. In their stipulated 20 overs, under the Captainship of S K Sharma, Addl. Commissioner of Income Tax, the Income Tax XI team scored 150 runs with the loss of 7 wickets. Manjul Raizada and Vinod Sharma were the significant contributors and scored 32 and 38 runs respectively. From the Income Tax XI Hardeep Kumar took 2 wickets. In reply, under the captainship of CA Vinod Gupta, Chartered Accountants XI also managed 150 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. CA Mithun Sharma and CA Vinod Gupta (Captain) scored splendid 38 runs respectively and CA Chetan Sharma and CA Nitish Gupta took 2 wickets each. CA Nitish Gupta bowled splendidly and took 2 wickets and was awarded the Best Bowler. CA Mithun Sharma scored wonderful 38 runs in 28 balls and was awarded the Best Batsman. SK Sharma, Additional Commissioner Income Tax, J&K was the Guest of Honour. Ruveda Salam, Asst. Commissioner of income Tax also graced the occasion. |
