Threat to Indian sovereignty from its law makers
Shiv Kumar Padha Basohli2/11/2018 11:06:38 PM
Allama iqbal's verse, Kuchh Baat hai Ki Hasti Mit ti Nahin Hamari, Sadiyon Raha Hai Dushman Daur-e-Jaman Hamara, is proving true in the present Indian context, because the democracy of India has been withstanding the test of times and has never yielded up before any force what so ever. Recent upheavals in Indian political arena is the result of the villainous designs of some self styled democrats, pseudo secularists, disgruntled and hawkish politicians who have initiated a concealed war against the Executive, legislature and Judiciary, the three pillars of Indian democracy, in league with some political parties of India having loyalties with the hostile countries, terrorist out fits, separatist and subversive forces, exploited youth from the national universities, seditious elements fomenting the situations during the recent incidents of vandalism and arson in different states. The reasons behind the scathing attacks on world's biggest and successful democracy is the result of the conspiracy being hatched between the defeated politicians and anti national forces to damage the delicate fiber of unity, brotherhood and religious harmony in the country. Every peaceful and nationalist citizen of India is at loss to know as to why the national symbols, national flag, national anthem, national songs, national emblem with the inscription satya mev Jayete and the long nurtured national values have become a topic of discussion and a matter of controversy since the promulgation of the constitution while the countries which attained independence much later than India are taking long strides on the path of development Where their citizens have deep rooted nationalism in them, where the citizens have unshakable faith in the integrity, solidarity and national values.
According to sir Mohammad Iqbal Nations are born in the hearts of poets, they prosper and die in the hands of politicians. History is the authentic touch stone which endorses the truth of what Mohammad Iqbal has said. The works of the great poets have brought about, mutinies, revolutions in many countries of the world. The poems have resulted into the dethronements and coronations of different monarchs in the world. In the case of India the revolutionary songs and poems of the great poets contributed a lot in infusing life in the sleeping and divided nation. The revolutionary poems of Ram Dhari sigh Dinkar, Sh. Aurovindo, Maithalisharan gupt, Makhan lal Chaturvedi. Ravinder Nath Tagore, Venkum Chander Chatterji, Ram Parshad Bismil, S. Bhagat Singh and number of other poets inspired the nation and helped liberating the nation from the yoke of British rule once for all.
The national flag, national anthem national songs are the identification of every nation in the world. Every country carries its national flag on its cargo ships, aircrafts and aero planes and government buildings. Every national festival, national congregation, national seminar is marked by hoisting tricolor followed by the singing of the National anthem. The dead bodies of the martyred soldier, irrespective of religion or cast they belong, is wrapped in the tricolor. The first three winner teams in every international event have to stand over the podium according to his position under the national flag of his country where the national anthem of that country is played before giving away prizes. The visiting diplomats and the heads of the countries are recognized with the national flag they stand under or sit before during the talks. Nobody whosoever can deny, under value, disrespect or ignore the national anthem and the national flag, doing so tantamount to sedition and blasphemy which can be dealt with sternly under law of the land. The National anthem of India and the national song Vande Matrem has been written by Sh. Rabinder Nath Tagore and Sh. Venkum Chander Chaterji not for particular religion, cast, ethnic group or region but for the nation as whole. The grateful nation has been paying due respect and obeisance for both the flag and the anthem. The schools and the educational institutes start their functioning with the national anthem. But it is a very unfortunate that for the last three years the countrymen have been watching an abrupt change in the behavior of handful of the politicians, groups of exploited youth from the universities, disgruntled politicians who are fighting tooth and nail against singing National anthem and vande matram in the schools and public places.. The singing of national anthem and vande matrem has become a debatable issue being debated in streets, on the TV channels where some ethnic groups, religious clerics have been crying hoarse against the national anthem. Not to talk of paying respect to national anthem and the national flag these forces totally decline to be called as Indians. According to an hearsay even the small children used to catch the thieves in their houses by singing the national song. Our politicians are heard talking in tune with the anti national forces these days. Like the terrorists, fundamentalists and religious cleric and politicians glorify and justify the terrorists and their inhuman activities and condemn the security forces blatantly.
High jacking the parliament and the state assemblies, Stalling the important working of the parliament by ruckus over trifle matters, personal and political rivalries and differences has become the order of the day. Whereas walk outs, shouting slogans, hurling chairs on each other, using filthy language in the house and character assesination of the constitutional heads have become a culture these days which results into the wastage of precious time and money consequently many important private members and treasury benches bills are lost without any debate or discussion. Many sessions of the parliament are sacrificed on the alter of political vandalism.
There was time when the decisions of the courts were respected and implemented without any discussion or contempt. But the situation is totally reverse these days. The political parties, instead of complying with the court decisions come on the roads if the decisions go against their expectations and interest. In order to appease the antinational elements and avenge for the decisions of the courts in the cases of hanging of Yakub Menon, Afzal Guru, opening of 1984 Sikh riot cases and decision for making singing National anthem obligatory for the countrymen these political parties dragged the apex courts in the streets and triggered heated debates about the working of the judiciary, on the TV channels which lowered the prestige and decorum of the courts known for their decisions in the world. Even the president, first person of India, supreme commander of the three wings of armed forces is not spared these days because the elements whether in or outside the parliament are often heard passing insulting remarks about the president which lower the prestige of the president of biggest democracy of the world. But on the other day one outgoing Vice President of the republic gave a dent to the secular image of India saying India is not secure for the Muslims to live in.
The heads of the nation hang in shame when the legislators belonging to the Kashmir based political parties reciprocated the slogans of Jai hind and hindustan Zindabad as shouted by the jammu based party MLAs and MLCs in LA, by Pakistan zinda bad Zinda bad by the hon'ble legislators of Kasmir based parties. It is evident that state unit of BJP cannot escape from the responsibility of making war like condition in the state and can be equally held responsible for the miserable condition of the nationalist citizens of the state because both the coalition partners are hands in glove in the decision of respectful release of ten thousand dreaded stone pelters from the valley, rewarding them with the employment and their rehabilitation in spite of the fact that many soliders succumbed to the injuries sustained by stones, many wounded soldiers breathed their last as they could not be lifted due to the resistance of the unruly violent mob of stone pelters. Unanimous decision of the, BJP and PDP, government for filing FIR against the Major who was safe guarding the public property, valuable lives of the innocent people and keeping the national flag high is sufficient to forfeit their right to remain in government any more and relinquish their posts and position.
The world has seen how the non democratic governments could be toppled by the armed coups and the bullet, but democratic governments can be changed by ballot. In democracy the defeat and the victory go hand in hand where the defeat must be accepted with smiling face. The good and favourable decisions of the governments which proves successful on all fronts, which elevates the prestige of the country, which brings the economy on the rails and that which makes the country strong on the front must be appreciated and cooperated instead of joining the hands with the hostile countries, instigating and provoking the youth to cause loot and arson, set the public and private property ablaze only to achieve their nefarious plans of toppling the elected governments. Again quoting Mohammad Iqbal, Nahin Samjoge to mit jaoge e Hindostan walo- Tmhara naam tak Na hoga dastanon mein.
