Granting rights to West Pak Refugees: Some 'corrupt' Sangh leaders also not ready to touch contentious issue
Who cares for RSS chief's suggestions?

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 19: Greed for power has dared BJP ministers in the J&K coalition some local RSS leaders to igore suggestions of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on ending plight of West Pakistani refugees.
During his this year's Annual Vijaydashmi address had strongly asked for granting all rights to refugees from West Pakistan.
Credible sources in the Sangh Parivar circle said that some local Sangh leaders, who are interested to take benefit of the power to adjust their family members have assured BJP leaders ignore suggestions of Mohan Bhagwat. They asked BJP leaders that instead of touching such controversial issues, they should better save government any cost and keep PDP leadership in good humour.
Credible sources said that during the meeting of BJP-RSS coordination committee held on Sunday, none of the leaders take up this issue because they were very aware that touching this issue would annoy some Sangh leaders who wanted that government should continue at any cost. Such leaders have already directed BJP MLAs to keep mum on all issues in the Assembly.
It was first time in the history that any RSS chief had highlighted issue of refugees from West Pakistan, who are victim of the worst ever discrimination meted out to them by the successive State and Central governments, in his Vijaydashmi address.
Sangh has always in the support of granting citizenship of these refugees, mentioning their plight by RSS chief during annual Dussehra address is significant in the sense Vijaydashmi speech of Sarsanghchalak (RSS chief) is always considered as next year's agenda of the Parivar.
Specifically pointing towards West Pakistani Refugees, Bhagwat said, "During the partition, Hindus, who were domiciled in areas assigned to Pakistan, had migrated to India and the then Jammu & Kashmir government had assured and asked them to settle in the state. They should be given all rights of citizenship in the state also". He made a point to recall the promise made by Sheikh Mohammad Abudullah with these refugees at the time of partition.
RSS's chief message was very clear to the BJP ministers in J&K that they have to solve this issue once for all. But unfortunately, their greed for power and influence of business lobbies on them has forced them not to take this issue seriously. What to say of following RSS chief's suggestions, BJP ministers in the coalition are rather indirectly creating hurdle in address refugees' issues by not speaking a word against Hurriyat Conference or other groups who are opposing giving domicile certificate to them.
