Jammu, Mar 13: In yet another instance of favouritism, the University of Jammu recently engaged its retire officials as invigilators for State Eligibility Test (SET) exam held on March 11.
Sources in University informed that despite having sufficient number of regular staff, the administration engaged the officials who got superannuation from service on January 31, 2017.
"It smells rat that why retired officials were engaged to conduct the exam", said a senior Professor. It raises questions over the transparency in the examination, sources said and added that Somesh Bhargav, retired as Assistant Registrar on January 31, was reemployed by the coordinator.
"Two other officials, were retired as Assistant Registrar, R S Bhat and Satya Bhushan three years back, were employed for exam duty", they said and added that another official R S Dalpatya, who was also retired as Assistant Registrar, too engaged for the job.
Raising veil from some other mysterious act of the administration, sources said that in Examination wing, an official is continuing his service despite his retirement five years back. "A clerk, who was retired from in 2013 from confidential section examination wing is still continuing in the same wing", he added
