Doctors will also lodge a protest by organizing a peaceful march on at 7:30 pm from Bahu Plaza to Green Belt Park. It further states that the doctor community was working under great stress and difficulties. A few days back one of top ranking Doctor Dr. Satish Mehta ENT specialist was arrested along with his staff after tragic accidental death of one lady. It was very unfortunate and whole doctor community shows sympathy to patient's family. "We remain always sympathetic to our patients whom we are treating. Sometimes some unforeseen bad incidents do happen where in spite of all our positive efforts morbidity and mortality occurs," it also stated. The recent incident happened because of anaphylactic reaction to some drug probably Propofal. Other anasthetistics Dr Atul Sharma and Dr Rohit Gupta were immediately called to help Dr. Rajesh Mahajan (anesthetist) and theater team but in spite of all the efforts put in by the team, they lost the patient. When doctor team was already depressed and sad the action taken by police persons and media persons was deplorable and pathetic. In spite of Supreme Court ruling by Justice RC Lahoti, Justice GB Mathur and B.K Balakrishanana, they were arrested and kept in lockup for more than 72 hours. This type of behavior of concerned authorities is highly condemnable. If such situations are in store for doctors how the treatment of the patients is possible. These accidents will happen in future also in medical practice and if the treating doctors will meet this type of pathetic behavior from the patients and the authorities then who will work in this prestigious medical professions. |
