Director ULB directs CEO Udhampur to get FIR registered

Jammu, June 4: Clipping the wing of officers evading to adjust amounts outstanding against them, the Director Urban Local Bodies Jammu, directed, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Udhampur, to get FIR registered against Executive Engineer and Junior Engineers of the department.
According to sources, Director ULB Jammu, Shushma Chauhan, had directed, CEO, Executive Officers, Municipal Council/Committees Udhampur/Katra. "You are directed to get registered FIR against erring officers and officials", order number DULBJ/2018/3401-04, dated 22 May 2018 read.
Sources said that these engineers have a total outstanding of Rs 2.15 crores pending against them. "Raman Uppal, Executive Engineer, LAWDA, has outstanding of Rs 67,66,846, Junior Engineer, Ravi Kumar (retired) has outstanding of Rs 1,33,47,336, Sushil Magotra, Junior Engineer has outstanding amount Rs 10, 46,518 and Ravi Kumar Junior Engineer has outstanding of Rs 4, 25,662 and are escaping adjustment of outstanding amounts", sources said.
They said that the Director ULB Jammu, had in past served recovery letter of outstanding of temporary advance to Executive Engineer and Junior Engineers to CEO Udhmapur and EOs in Reasi district.
"The Executive Engineer, Local Bodies division-II, Jammu vide letter no LB/tech/J-11/2018/G-18/529, dated 14/05/2018 has submitted a list of officers and officials against whom huge amount of unadjusted temporary advance is outstanding and they failed to approach their offices despite issuance of show cause notice to them which is very serious financial irregularity as how the concerned CEO and Eos issued such huge amount phase manner without ensuring adjustment of earlier amount", the Director ULB Jammu wrote CEO Udhmapur, directing him to get registered FIR for financial irregularities committed by the officers and officials.
