DCC condemns unprovoked firing on border by Pak Rangers

Jammu, June 4: District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu urban condemned unprovoked border firing in Suchetgarh-Akhnoor-Pargwal by Pakistan Rangers.
According to press release, a meeting of DCC urban Jammu, was held here today at PCC HQ Jammu presided over by B B Gupta District Senior Vice-President Jammu (U), All the participants together in a unanimous voice strongly condemned and criticized the unprovoked border firing in Suchetgarh, Akhnoor-Pargwal and adjoining areas up to Shamachak in which two BSF Jawans have been martyred and several civilian have been severely injured, where the border residents had suffered a huge loss of property and livestock. People of border areas are suffering a lot and become homeless.
In the meeting a strong demand was raised to provide immediate relief and rehabilitation to the border residents. Rs. 5 Lac claim to next of kins who lost their life and urged the State-Centre government to immediately swing into action for the relief and rehabilitation of the border migrants.
The participants also highlights the burning civic problem of electricity and water supply, irregular and no supply of ration, issue of Ration Card, non availability of ration commodities in government ration depots etc. The falling standards of health facilities, non- availability of medicines and other facilities at the government medical institutions.
Participants also express their deep concern over the poor sanitation conditions in the Jammu city, also other developmental works which have virtually came to a grand halt. A two minutes silence over the death of two BSF Jawans was also observed as tributes to these martyrs.
