KPC to observe July 13 as "Black Day"

Jammu, July 9: Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC ) emphasized that 13th of July,2018 to be observed globally by Kashmiri Pandits as "Black Day" .This day in 1931 marks the beginning of the first organized genocide of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir.The wounds of the 1931 massacre, loot and arson of the KP community are still fresh in the minds of the Kashmiri Pandits and the present plight of Kashmiri pundits in exile has a direct link with what happened with the community for hundreds of years in Kashmir. President Kashmiri Pandit Conference(KPC) Kundan Kashmiri appealed whole KP community living in across the country or in abroad to observe July 13th 2018 as " Black Day" switch off the lights of your houses and business establishment from 7 PM to 8 PM ,wear black badges and head gears.
He also appealed to the community brethren to organize corner meeting in your respective localities to condemn the escalation of human rights violations and atrocities against the KP community at large from time to time. He also asks that we should never forget the atrocities, Killings of our innocent brethren who laid their lives and made their lot of scarifies for the nationhood so observe the Black Day against the black laws on the July 13th this year. He also said abrogation of Article 370 from the state of J&K, rehabilitation of our overage youths, nullification of distress sale in the valley, adjustment of our KP PM employees in safer zones in Jammu and cancellation of holiday on July 13 which is being observed by the Govt of J&K on the said day should also be the main demands of the KP community on this day of July 13, 2018 .
