Doda, July 9: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Doda City unit today organized 'Pratibha Samman Samaroh' here at Community Hall', Doda. IFS, Naresh Manda, was the Chief Guest on the occasion while State Vice president of ABVP, Pardeep Singh Katoch and state joint secretary Rajeshwar Singh, District Convener Jagbir Singh Bandral were also present. At the outset of the programme, those who secured 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th positions in '8th, 10th and 12th Board Classes were awarded mementoes by the chief guest. Thereafter, about 150 students participate on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, Naresh Manda said, "ABVP is playing a great role in re-organization of the Country and every student should join the organization to work for the welfare of the student community. He also threw light on the work done by the Government to reform the education sector". Pardeep Singh Katoch, in his address, highlighted various activities undertaken by the ABVP. He said that ABVP wants to engage the youth in re-organization of the country by infusing patriotism in them, as it is only youth, who can bring change. He said as Army is protecting the citizens from foreign enemies on borders in the same way ABVP is working against bad elements in the society. |
