Mehbooba in her new Avatar issues veiled threat to security forces
PDP shows its real face and its quite ruthless!

Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 30: After losing power, people are finding PDP President Mehbooba Mufti once again in her old avatar- visiting families of militants, justifying militants and issuing veiled threats to security forces of the country.
A day after congratulating the grand daughter of a dreaded separatist- Syed Ali Geelani- who advocates Kashmir's merger with Pakistan- for passing class 10 examination, Mehbooba on Sunday visited the militancy infested south Kashmir's Pulwama district and roamed around its interiors. She also met with the families of the victims and condemned their targeting, while asking the governor administration to remain cautious and not to intimate the families of the victims.
However, what was deeply disturbing was the video clip of Mehbooba Mufti that has gone viral on Kashmir's social media. Interacting with the journalists outside the house of one of the militants, the PDP Chief issued a veiled threat to security forces. This is what she said, "If you continue with such policy of targeting the families of militants, its repercussions will be serious." This statement seething with anger made by the former chief minster carries a deep meaning within which is that if tomorrow militants attack the security forces in revenge, that will be justified as per the PDP Chief.
"Police and other security forces cannot function outside the ambit of law. That will create more problems than it solves. On the one side, we have been making claims that we want to take youngsters away from violent methods but on the other hand, it seems that the government is doing everything to push them further into this unending cycle of violence," she was quoted in a party statement as having said.
Meanwhile, earlier when the class 10 results in Kashmir were out, she specifically chose to congratulate grand daughter of Syed Ali Geelani while leaving thousands of other children hailing from economically downtrodden families aside. "She could have chosen a boy or a girl from a destitute family who has battled all odds and secured high rank in examination.
But no, she decided to appease Syed Ali Geelani, the separatist who openly calls India as a occupational force and advocates Kashmir's merger with Pakistan. He is the one who spearheaded the agitation of 2008, 2010 and 2016 and created unrest for months. What was the need to congratulate Geelani's daughter and leaving the daughters of thousands of poor fathers aside. What reason other than appeasement there could be behind such bizarre more," questioned a netizen on social media.
On the other hand, there are also reports that the PDP will evolve a separatist friendly strategy so that it could gain the lost ground again and such a plan could possibly save the party from witnessing a dreadful rout in Jammu and Kashmir during the parliament and assembly elections which are slated to be held in April next year. There are high chances that the leaders of the party will adopt the similar strategy as that of their president and will try to turn the already perturbed Kashmir Valley into a hub of radicalisation.
