Jammu, Jan 14: The ongoing agitation of All J&K Daily Wagers/Casual Labourers of Irrigation & Flood Control (FC) and RTIC Jammu being held in the premises of Irrigation Complex, Jammu has entered into 29th day today.
The agitating employees are demanding regularization of all daily wagers which include casual labourers, need based workers and land owners, release of long pending wages for more than last 60 months.
The employees staged a protest dharna under the leadership of Amarjit Singh, Kamal Verma, Shashi Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Arjun Kumar, Ranjit Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Lai Dass and others. The protesters said that if their demands are not fulfilled at the earliest by the government, the daily wagers will extend their strike. |
