Sarkari Farman' for those visiting civil secretariat | Medicines, water bottles not allowed! | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 14: If you suffering of any illness and taking any medicines, you should avoid visiting civil secretariat Jammu, where the security staff has been instructed not to allow any medicines or water inside. Entry into the secretariat for the commoners has become difficult, especially in governor's rules. "First of all, after spending an hour in queue, you need to produce your identity card at reception along with your mobile number, if you don't possess any identity proof, you will not be allowed to get in", said Mushtaq Ahmed, over new rules for visitors. It was shocking for everyone standing in queue for his frisking, when the security person, who was frisking the visitors, ordered an aged person not to take his medicines inside. "Keep here we have orders from seniors, you cannot carry it" said a security personnel. "If someone carries medicines, it mean he/she is suffering from any ailment. Most of people who are suffering of major ailments including hypertension etc, need to carry medicine, such persons can fall ill any time", said Ravi and added that it has been learnt that recently government has banned use of plastics items inside the Secretariat. Another official, said that despite ban on use of cigarettes and other tobacco product, one can find thousands of cigarettes butts in empty packets of tobacco inside washrooms and at other places. "It clearly shows that rules area made to harass commoners, those who made rules do not follow them", he added. SSP Security, Secretariat, Mohammad Yousef, when contacted over medicines issues said, "I don't know about it, and I have not issued any order like this, I will check it and let you know tomorrow." |
