Political darling' DySP manages his choice posting
1/14/2019 10:48:11 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 14: Known for being close to corridors of power, a Deputy Superintended of Police (DySP) who has been recently promoted has managed his choicest posting in a district in Jammu-Kathua-Samba (JKS) Range using his political contacts.
"A police official of DySP rank has allegedly managed his posting by using his political links", said sources adding that the DySP had already served in the said district in JKS Range in various capacities.
Sources said that the official has already served as Station House Officers (SHOs) in many police stations in the same district where he has recently been posted and has good contacts and acquaintances in the area.
Sources further claimed that the said police official mounted pressure on higher-ups and managed his posting at choicest place where he had served prior to his promotion.
"A Ranger of Forest Department also played a crucial role in the posting of the said DySP as various criminal cases are pending against the said Ranger in the police station which also falls under the jurisdiction of DySP in question.
It is pertinent to mention here that smuggling of illegal cement is going on unabated in the said district and it is the major source of corruption in the said district which might also be the reasons for the officer in question to manage his posting in the district where he had also served on multiple occasions earlier.
