Ex-MLAs Udh, Chenani hail Guv for sanctioning College at Kantghali | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Mar 1: Hailing the approval for the opening of degree college at Kanthangli, the former MLAs of Udhampur and Chenani have expressed their gratitude to the Governor for taking a people friendly decision. The former MLAs Pawan Gupta and Dina Nath Bhagat said that the people of tehsil Pancheri and the local Panchs as well as Sarpanchs had a long pending demand of opening a degree college for many years. Both former MLAs said that the demand of the people was very genuine but due to arising dispute in selection of suitable site the sanction delayed. Both the former legislatures divulged that they made collective efforts in this behalf and selected a place which is convenient for the people of all the three Assembly constituencies of Udhampur, Chenani and Reasi and accordingly the Advisor to the Governor Khurshid Ahmed Ganai was approached and apprised about the suitable land at Kainthgali which has now been approved. Both MLAs congratulated the people of all three constituencies. Apart from this, both the MLAs again expressed their gratitude to Satyapal Malik and his advisor Khursheed Ahmed Ganai for sanctioning of college. On this occasion, while responding to the question regarding Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's peace offer to India, Pawan Gupta said that Pakistan's policy has always been contagious. Even here the Prime Minister Imran Khan is sending a peace proposal and on the other side is violating the ceasefire on daily basis along the LoC. |
