Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 8: In an act of endorsement to caliphate laws, the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana today invoked Quranic law to suspend one RDD employee after few people leveled serious allegations of corruption against him.
The District Development Commissioner after receiving a complaint submitted by a deputation from Halqa Panchayat Dool-B Block Nagseni against one RDD employee who happens to be I/c Secretary Halqa Panchayat Dool-B Block Nagseni put him under suspension.
The deputation told the DDC that the erring official had taken a bribe of Rs 8000/- from one Imran Ahmed S/O Irshad Ahmed and Rs 30,000/- from Mohd. Ayaz Khan S/o Abdul Kabir Khan both residents of Dool-B for release of payments under MGNREGA.
It stated that taking prompt action DDC, Kishtwar called the official in his office chamber and while enquiring from him in presence of BDO Nagseni and other deputationists, the official first denied the allegations.
Meanwhile, as per the directions of DDC, in order to eke out the truth, the holy book Quran was also brought in the office where the erring official was asked to swear in the name of holy Quran that he has not taken any type of bribe from the complainants.
Whereas, the erring official fumbled and afterwards admitted of taking Rs 30,000/- from one of the complainant and stated that he further gave the amount to the concerned JE for the preparation of work bill.
Taking serious cognizance of the whole matter District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana immediately placed him under suspension and attached him in the office of ACD, Kishtwar.
Further, SSP, Kishtwar has been asked to investigate the whole matter and take further necessary action as per the law of the land.
