Morning Walkers Green Belt Park condemn terror attack on RSS leader
4/10/2019 11:08:15 PM
Early TImes Report

JAMMU, Apr 10: A large number of morning walkers of Green Belt Park Gandhi Nagar Jammu assembled today to condemn terror attack on RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma and his PSO Rajinder Kumar at Kishtwar. All the morning walkers were anguished on this third major terror attack in last 5 months in the heart of Kishtwar town.
I C Jandial Chief Engineer (Retd), the organizer, in his address said that we strongly protest the militant activities in Kishtwar town in which senior RSS leader and his PSO were gunned down and both were martyred. He further said that on November 1, 2018 in a similar terror attack militants openly killed two BJP prominent local leaders in heart of the Kishtwar town. This shows a disturbing trend on how militants are trying to eliminate key local leaders of Jammu region with the motive to polarize communities especially in election season.
K B Jandial in his address said that it is very unfortunate that government is not able to sufficiently protect even the people on militants' hit list. This shows failure of government apparatus. He said it is clear that militants want to increase terror incidents in Jammu region to intimidate a particular community and warned that this will have greater ramification.
Pawan Jain, a prominent social activist appealed to Government of India as well as State Government to take strong measures to crush militancy and ensue that peace prevailing in Jammu region is not disturbed.
A two minutes silence was observed in the memory of Chanderkant Sharma and Rajinder Kumar. The participants prayed to God to rest the departed souls in peace and give enough courage to their families to bear the tragic loss.
Prominent among those present were Raman Matoo (former) MoS, P K Gupta IGP (Retd), Er CU Sharma, Er Tilak Raj Gupta, Vijay Verma of Jewellers Association, KK Gupta of Apsra Theatre, Devidas, Er KK Dewan, Vipan Malhotra, Pali Gandotra, Ram Parkash Gupta, Bitu Malhotra, Inderjit Singh, Phoa, S S Sethi, K C Gupta CA, Jagmohan Gupta, Architect CL Koul , Mohinder Gupta, Er Raina, Narinder Singh, ex-Director Information and Dr Subash Gupta (Retd) Principal Medical College Jammu.
