CB Jammu produces Challan against Impersonator

JAMMU, Aug 28: Crime Branch Jammu produced Challan against Impersonator inland deal case on Wednesday.
As an impersonator- accused Kunti Devi wife of Gulab Singh resident of Garkhal, Tehsil Akhnoor District Jammu in furtherance of a criminal conspiracy with co-accused Shamsher Singh son of Tarlok Singh resident of Galowal Tehsil Dasuya District Hoshiarpur Punjab, fraudulently prepared fake General Power of Attorney and got the same registered before the Ld. Sub-Registrar, Akhnoor vide power of attorney No. 244 dated 30.09.2014 in order to grab the land under Khewat No. 57/49, Khatoni No. 70 measuring 19 Kanals and 04 marlas, situated at village Ghag Jalo Tehsil Dasuya District Hoshyarpur, Punjab to cause wrongful gain to themselves and wrongful loss to the complainant.
The accused appeared before the Court as an impersonator, pretending to be actual owner of the land namely Kunti Devi daughter of Naseeb Singh wife of Atama Singh resident of Tehsil and district Samba.
A written complaint was lodged by Kunti Devi daughter of Nasib Singh in Crime Branch Jammu, wherein it was alleged that Kunti Devi wife of Gulab Singh have fraudulently prepared a General Power of Attorney in favour of Shamsher Singh son of Tarlok Singh resident of Galowal Teh. Dasuya District Hoshyarpur Punjab in order to grab her land measuring 19 Kanals and 4 Marlas and more.
During the course of verification it was found that Kunti Devi wife of Gulab Singh and Shamsher Singh, in furtherance of a criminal conspiracy, dishonestly and fraudulently prepared fake General Power of Attorney and got the same registered before the Ld. Sub-Registrar, Akhnoor, thereby causing wrongful loss to the complainant.
Accordingly case FIR No. 65/2015 U/S 420, 465, 467, 468, 471,120-B RPC was registered in CB, Jammu for in-depth investigation. During the course of the investigation, allegations were proved against the accused Kunti Devi wife of Gulab Singh and Shamsher Singh (now expired) and Challan of the case has been produced against the accused in the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Akhnoor.
