Divisional level Inter District Volley ball tournament concludes at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Sept 19: Divisional level Inter-District Volleyball tournament for boys 2019-20 in all age groups concluded here at Government Degree College Udhampur.
Around 215 boys from different districts of Jammu Division participated in the tournament.
SSP Mohan Lal ADO Outdoor, Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur was the chief guest while Principal of the College Dr. Nutan Kumar Resutra, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, S. Swarn Singhwere the guests of honour and Saqulin Tariq, an International Volleyball Player from Poonch who was the captain of Indian Youth Team, was the special guest of honour on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, the chief guest advised the participants to play with true sportsmanship and give their best performance. He stressed upon them to channelize their energy in a positive way by taking part in such type of sports activities. He also motivated the players not to use polythene in their homes and to take proper balanced diet under the banner of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan' campaign. The tournament is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K Govt. Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman and under the overall supervision of DYSSO Udhampur. In under 14 year's boys category, District Poonch defeated District Udhampur by 2.0 sets. In under 17 year's boys category, District Poonch outplayed District Reasi by 2.0 sets.
Similarly, in Under 19 year's boys category, District Kathua clinched the final match by defeating District Samba by 3.0 sets.
Later, the chief guest distributed trophies and certificates among the winners and runners-up teams.
\All the matches were officiated by Kuldeep Kumar, Amit Sharma, Nisha Sharma. Meenu, Naveen Sharma, Romesh Sharma, Pushp Kumar, Surinder Kumar, Manik Nargotra, Deepak and Jyotika.
