YMA, RBSK hold Weight lifting contest to mark World Diabetes Day

Jammu, Nov 16: Yoga Medico Association (YMA), Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakaram (RBSK) Association Jammu, along with Muscle Zone Gym, Shakti Nagar, Jammu organised an unisex weight lifting Competition to mark the World Diabetes Day.
The programme was held under the able supervision of Dr. Abhimanyu Gupta, president YMA and Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakaram (RBSK) Association Jammu. Karan Chalotra, SHO Bakshi Nagar Police Station was the chief guest on this occasion.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr Abhimanyu Gupta said that Diabetes has become a global threat and it is imperative to understand the importance of Yoga, Exercise and a healthy lifestyle for a fit and healthy body. He said the diabetes has become a major health problem globally" but can be controlled by preventive measures."
Later Chief Guest, Karan Chalotra, SHO Bakshi Nagar presented prizes among the winners and participants. Chalotra lauded the efforts of Dr Abhimanyu Gupta president YMA and RBSK for organising such programme. "By organising such awareness programmes and educating people about the symptoms of the diabetes could be helpful in ensuring early reporting of diabetic patients to the hospital", he said.
Prominent among those present include Dr Anil Sharma general secretary YMA, Dr Abhishekh Vaid Treasurer, YMA besides others.
