Police has failed in tackling crimes in Rajouri alleges Kranti Dal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 9: Jammu and Kashmir Kranti Dal President Pritam Sharma on Thursday said that a large number of criminal activities are being committed by the criminals, anti-social as well as anti-national elements in different areas of District Rajouri frequently resulting in loss to general public but police have been acting as a mute spectator. Addressing a press conference Pritam Sharma who was accompanied by Veer Kumar Sharma District Rajouri President alleged that frequent theft and bovine smugglings are being committed under the connivance of police. Kumar alleged that few months back a truck carrying over 16 bovines was intercepted by locals at Sialsui which was came after passing many police nakas from Jammu to Sialsui raised question marks on the working of police. Moreover, he said, the thefts cases have been rising at many places including at Potha, Sialsui and Panjara areas of Dhogla in Kalakote and in other area and FIR was lodged with Kalakote Police on December 28 last year but the local police has been found failed even to investigate the matter on ground till date under unknown reasons. He further said a large number of vehicles are intercepted by police with carrying bovines at Surankote and Thannamandi which pass through Kalakote and Rajouri and many of such vehicles are still in police custody but their owners and drivers are untraced till date by the police. Accusing police, they urged upon the Lt Governor G. C Murmu and Home Secretary J&K to personally watch the situation being prevailed in District Rajouri.
