Muraleedharan e-inaugurates Rural Haat, PMGSY projects

kATHUA, Jan 19: Union Minister of State for External Affairs & Parliamentary Affairs, V. Muraleedharan today e-inaugurated Rural Haat and various road projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) at Billawar.
He also reviewed progress of various centrally sponsored schemes and presided over many functions during which he stressed on effective implementation of government programmes to achieve result-oriented progress in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Union Minister also participated in a programme at Billawar Degree College where he highlighted the benefits of recent constitutional changes made by the centre.
Highlighting the benefits of several flagship programmes of the Union Government, Muraleedharan said that 60 lakh beneficiaries have been benefitted under Ayushman Bharat scheme besides several medical colleges and AIIMS will provide impetus to the medical care in J&K.
Later, the Union Minister also distributed sanction orders of State Marriage Assistance Scheme among female beneficiaries and inaugurated Multipurpose Hall at the Degree College.
Various departments under District Administration also exhibited their products and schemes to sensitize people of the area towards various welfare programmes of the government. The Union Minister also took a round of the exhibition and inquired about the execution of various schemes.
The Union Minster was accompanied by CEO SMVDSB, Ramesh Kumar, ASP Kathua, Ramnish Gupta and ADC Billawar, Sandesh Kumar Sharma and other concerned.
