Govt left poor labourers at mercy of God: YLA | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 23: Raising the concern over the condition of poor labourers, the Young Lawyers Association (YLA) said that the present regime is only concerned for the capitalist class but failed to pay any attention towards the plight of poor labourers, who are getting crushed by trains and trucks. Nitin Bakshi, Advocate and President Young Lawyers Association (YLA), J&K High Court, Jammu in a press release issued here today said that the laboueres are forced to walk thousnads of miles in this scorching heat to reach their respective states and the reason for all this mess and deplorable condition of poor masses is the present government along with administration, which is not even ready to listen to the cries of these poor masses. Bakshi said that he voluntarily made a list of labourers of his vicinity, who approached him with their documents and were wishing to go back to their respective states and submitted the same to a higher official of Revenue department of U. of J&K, but very sadly he uttered that the file remained hanging between Revenue and Labour department which escalated the miseries of those poor labourers as their days and nights are passing with huge difficulties in absence of even basic amenities in lockdown 4.0 . The lack of coordination between the departments is the main reason and cause of this condition of labourers, said Bakshi. Appealing to LG of UT of J&K, Bakshi said that the stranded labourers should be transported immediately to their respective states without any delay. Otherwise he will file a public interest litigation in Supreme Court of India, where senior officials of J&K U. have to file reason and reply of their such attitude towards poor masses. |
